Black Lives Matter in B&NES: a webinar for young people
The aim of this webinar is to find out from young people:

How they are feeling about recent events (George Floyd, the BLM movement etc, racism in our local area)

What they would like to see happen in schools, colleges and other settings to increase awareness of racism and how to tackle it, and how there can be more opportunities to learn about black history.

If you have time in advance of the Webinar, watch this short film made by young people from local charity Boys in Mind - about their experiences of racism growing up in B&NES www.boysinmind.co.uk/black-lives-matter

The webinar will be chaired by Dine Romero, Leader of Bath and North East Somerset Council who will be joined by Kevin Guy, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, Bath and North East Somerset Council and a panel of Young People:

1. Dee Johnson (Bath Spa)
2. Lucia Vinyard (Boys in Mind/Girls Mind Too)
